Naturally caffeine-free, rooibos or "red bush tea" is native to South Africa. Natives have been drinking it like tea forever, they enjoy the smooth, naturally-sweet taste of rooibos, which boasts anti-oxidant content just like camellia sinensis, and a lower tannin content than tea so that it's easier on the digestive system.
Suggested steeping: 1 teaspoon (2.5 to 3 grams) tea leaves to 8 ounces water at a rolling boil (212°F). Steep 5 to 7 minutes, or to taste. Remove/strain rooibos leaves from beverage. Add sweetener and/or milk if desired---feel free to explore on your tea journey!
