The distinction between "decaffeinated" and "caffeine-free" is that it is not possible to remove 100% of the caffeine that exists naturally in the Camellia sinensis plant. There are methods to remove the vast majority of the caffeine, but know that there will always be a very small amount of caffeine still in a Decaffeinated tea. If you need completely caffeine-free, choose a Rooibos or an herbal tisane made with ingredients that never contained caffeine to begin with.
